Comments about Pelican International Pelican Bass Raider 10 Pontoon Fishing Boat:
I had a 10 foot aluminum jon boat, but it was VERY unstable and only rated for a max of 275 lbs. The bass raider is stable enough to stand up while fishing, and max capacity = 600 lbs. HUGE difference! The only down-side so far is that it's heavier than the jon boat so loading it by myself is a tad more difficult. On the bright side, it fits between the wheel wells in my Tacoma 4X4 so I still don't need a trailer. Not having a trailer has proven to be advantageous. Parking is never a problem and I don't need a "real" boat launch with a ramp. All I need is about 6 feet of shoreline -- plus I never have to wait in line. SWEET

I load this on a ladder rack on a 15 passenger van by myself. Lift one end up and tip on back of van, then lift other end up. Then used tie downs. Then I don't need a trailer or a truck. Holds me 280 pounds, brother 250 pounds and 200 pounds of gear no problem. I put an aluminum frame on it to hold 4 rod holders so we can troll with 4 rods and I hook my fishfinder to the frame. My daughter caught a 6 pound 3 ounce wiper on this boat on her first cast. It was great. Can be carried by two men to any body of water within a couple hundred yards of the parking lot, but I prefer to back into boat ramps and drop it on the waters edge, load it and cast it off. Lots of fun.

great for getting to those spots where gas motors are not allowed
Comments about Pelican International Pelican Bass Raider 10 Pontoon Fishing Boat:
After 6 years of avid use & abuse, this boat is still standing very strong. It fits nicely on the back of my Nissan Frontier 6ft. bed along with a big yellow strap to secure it. I can load it up onto the truck bed & take it off all by myself. Also it allows me to get many places where other boats can't. For example, I can load it into waters by hand where the big, expensive boats requiring trailers cannot because there may not be a boat ramp available. Also, this boat will hold more weight than most steel hull boats its size.
Recently, a person at work bought one of those fancy $18k bass boats. Their nice bass boat with high licensing, taxes, maintenance, & financing costs among others. My Pelican Ram10 gives me access to places that they cannot get to, floats in shallow water, works year round, fits in the back of my truck, & has plenty of room for two people with plenty of equipment. I get more & I spent a fraction of the cost. Did I mention how stable in the water it is too?
This boat has created a lifetime Pelican boat customer out of me. You won't regret it either!

Comments about Pelican International Pelican Bass Raider 10 Pontoon Fishing Boat:
This is my first boat. I wanted something small and easy, and it is. One able bodied man can load/unload from a pickup. Stable ride for its size. I use a 2.5 hp Mercury which works well at max. weight. I did not give the boat a 5 because, the seats are not anchored. Also poor seam construction (STAPLED TOGETHER). I have seen seamless boats of this kind for slightly more. All in all it's a "Pretty good boat for the price".

Comments about Pelican International Pelican Bass Raider 10 Pontoon Fishing Boat:
I purchased the Pelican Bass Raider 10 just last month and have used the boat several times. I really like the way you can load and unload the boat most anywhere you want to fish. The boat is very maneuverable.
Comments about Pelican International Pelican Bass Raider 10 Pontoon Fishing Boat:
I have owned this boat for 4 years now and it is extremely durable; you cannot break it. I have had it loaded with tons of weight on a trailer multiple times and it has fallen out of a truck before. It is stable and allows you to fish anywhere. It is easy to carry and can hold a lot of weight, it easily fits in the back of a pickup or on a small trailer.
