I was a little worried when i first got this club, spending [$] on a driver! I can say without regret, this is the best purchase i have ever made as far as golf equipment. When and if you miss the sweet spot the ball still carries great. It has an unbeatable look, and it adds at least 10 to 20 yards accuratly, you will not regret buying this club one bit!!!!

I bought this about a week ago. I took it to the range, and I was hitting 40-50 yards farther than I had been previously (with a bubble 2 ti that was my grandpa's), and I am swinging a lot faster now. I used to hit about 200, now I'm hitting 230-250 (and I'm only 14!). Bottom line - BUY THIS CLUB!

This is an awsome driver. I recently had a Nike sasquach and the taylormade is head and shoulders over it. goes very long and straight. my only complaint is i ordered mine from dickssportinggoods.com and didn't receive a head cover. But the driver is the best driver out there and can't beat the price.

The Taylormade Burner is AN UNBELIEVABLE Club. Im 14 and a 7 handicap, i started playing when i was 6 yrs old, and i had a taylormade bubble shaft when i started, I am taylormade and will never go back after hitting this. I hit my R580XD around 245 on average. Now with the burner i hit it about 265-270 on average. THATS ALOT OF YARDAGE INCREASE. If u wanna hit the ball farther and accurate. BUY THIS MONSTER. Playing the first hole at my home course, my first tee shot, long and down the middle, my dad asked where did the ball go.

I don't know what all the hype is about the new Burner. After reading all the great reviews, I decided to go and try one. Know matter what I did, I couldn't hit it straight to save my life. I kept hitting big nasty slices with it. I tried the R7 Superquad and hit them long and straight everytime. Went back to the Burner and again with the slicing. I think this club blows and I would only recommend members of my foursome to buy one only because it will be adding stokes to their game after they hit big slices out-of-bounds.

The last driver I bought was a Taylormade Firesole that I have had for about 9 years now. Even though I hit it well, I decided to go try some new drivers to catch up with everyone else. I tried the new Nike Sasquatch, Nike SQ Sumo Cobra, Cleveland Hibore, and 4 different Taylormades (R7 draw, Burner, Burner Tour, and R7 superquad). First off, the Cobra really sucks but by far the R7 superquad was the very best with maybe the Burner Tour coming in second. The superquad not only sounds beautifully when hitting the golf ball (unlike the Cobra) but the ball just sails straight and long each and every time. I usually have a slight fade with my swing but I couldn't fade anything with this club. This club also added and extra 25 yards to every drive I hit. Honestly. I am so glad I decided to go try new clubs which lead me to the R7 superquad. Great job Taylormade.

this club is so tight. im a high-school golfer and i play on my team there. goin into my junior year im around a 6 or 7 handicap. i hit a orlimar three wood off the tee and then i bought this driver for [$]. first day i used it i loved it. its awesome. i hit it straight and barely have to swing it. i went with the 9.5 loft and stiff flex shaft, i launch the ball off the tee which i didnt expect with the loft. i went and played nine with it and shot a one over 37. i hit this club long and far. it feels great and looks incredible. all my buddies were in awe of it. if you need a driver i def recommend this. you can feel the mishits and know when you crush it. i believe the best feature is the fact that when i hit it off center i feel it, but yet the ball still goes at least 260 and goes straight. get this club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this. I tried out a couple of different drivers and the guy could'nt say enough about how good the burner is, and I agree for sure. So I got it and the first time I used it I hit it straighter and longer than ever, I easily added 30 yards to my drive, and already dropped about 5 strokes off just because of how good it sets me up for the short game. This is definately one of the best drivers out there, and for the price you couldn't buy anything else that could improve your game more....SEXY BEAST!

Big sweet spot, consistent off tee, only problem is the construction around the weight ports seems weaker than rest of club. However for a decent golfer, it is not a problem. Went from slicing ball and hitting about 220 of tee to hitting a fade/straight/draw and about 275 off the tee. Perfect hits are absolute bombs. Driven 3 par 4s (290,310,343)with this club and only had it about 2 weeks

i had a 400 cc cleveland launcher with a regular shaft and although i hit the bar far i would slice it a lot so i just upgraded to the burner with a stiff shaft my swing is around 100 mph and when i swung the nike sumo it was only clocked at 92. this club is a little bit lighter and i believer an inch longer. its the straightest driver i've ever hit..dont buy it and think you'll hit every fairway but if u have a driver that is a year or 2 old i can gurantee you this driver will be better. i've played about ten times this year and i've played 2 rounds since i bought it and so far that is my 2 best rounds..its a great feeling not being nervous where your drive is gonna go. buy this driver! its sweet!!

I just bought the TM Burner Driver 9.5 and I just got home from the driving range. I honestly hit the ball 30 + yrds further than my Golden Bear 10.5 Driver that came with the set all for [$](yeah its a cheap club). THIS DRIVER IS SIMPLY AMAZING. The sound of the club head striking the ball will draw attention 2-3 fairways over. I had recently corrected a nasty slice and I wish I had this driver earlier. Even off center shots will still be playable! With my Golden Bear, I drove the ball about 230 at best...with this Burner Driver I was clocking around 260 - 270 yrds consistently!!! Best driver I ever had...period.

The feel, sound, ball flight, control, and distance are unbelievable. I won a long drive competition three weeks ago by 45 yards. All I hit was one ball. Just one. Dead Straight and Nearly off the grid. Try it and you'll love it!!!!

One word "WOW"!! The extra inch on the shaft really makes a difference. I have used every driver made and by far this one is the most impressive. IF you are looking to hit the ball straight, consistant and LONG, this is the club for you. You can really expect to swing the club easier, smoother and add 25 yards. The sound the ball makes when coming off the head at impact will get the attention of any spectator 2 fairways over. "Grip it and rip it"

This driver is LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!!! I used to own a Nicklaus Golden Bear driver and was able to hit it 300+ despite the small clubhead. The larger head took a few swings to get used to, but once I did, I'm able to hit par 4's in one. As an example, the fourth hole at my home course is 380 yards...and I hit it to the green!!!!

I love this driver. I've hit others, and this one's the best by far.

This club is amazing. Before I bought this one, i owned an Adam's Ovation 2 driver. From the second i hit the Burner off the tee, i saw a great difference. With my ovation, i was hitting around 200yds but had a huge slice. The burner makes the ball jump straight off the tee about 230-250yds (which is great for me, a 14yr old golfer). The club is very light and allows me to square up the head every time while coming through. Also, you can get greater power because of its light weight. The only thing is, watch how you swing with the club. If you're too fast around, the ball may draw slightly. If you buy this, expect great things.

Amazing club! I have been playing golf pretty regular for about 2 years now. I previously had some hand-me-down clubs that I used, and had gotten really used to (including the driver). For Christmas I purchased the Taylormade Burner. Cannot say enough about this club. I was probably hitting about 250 tops on most drives. After using this club, I am easily carrying 250, and getting about 265-275 average on drives, and occasionally hitting 280-290. When it comes to accuracy, unbeatable in my opinion. I tried the originaly r7 and the superquad in addition to the Burner when I purchased my driver. I also tried the Ping, Cobra, and Sasquatch about a week before this one. I was pretty much dead set on the Sasquatch until I felt this club. Had to have it!

If you have older technology, they have come a long way in the past couple of years. I would recommend you getting this. I love this thing off the tee. It has great control, and you can't miss with this. I have tried some of the older drivers, but nothing compares to todays drivers. If you are someone looking to get a quality club or looking for new clubs, this is it. Also i recommend the Callaway Big Bertha 460, that to this a great club and identicle to this.

Boy I tried, but I could not hit a bad shot with this club. Long, straight drives. Club has a very large sweet spot, though still able to control it enough to work a dogleg well too. The head is very large, but the balance and feel are comfortable. It is not clumsy to swing like some other oversized drivers are.

With my old TaylorMade R580XD (9.5 R Shaft) i would drive for avg. anywhere from 260-280 and now withe my new TaylorMade Burner (10.5 S Shaft) i hit it anywhere from 270-300. It's probably the best driver out there.

Bought this about 4 weeks ago. Had troubles at first because I like to play a fade, and this club will not allow me to play my shot. Put the left side into play. Tried and tried to get it to fade, gave up and started aiming down the middle. Hard to control ball flight (mid to high ok, low shots give up). Before with the r580 drives were about 285-330, with this 300-350. I live in Wake Forest, NC home of one of the longest recorded par 5's at 702 yds. Drive, 3 wd, lob wedge. Only regret is that I did not have the burner 3w in the bag to get there in 2.

Buy it and give up on shaping shots, just hit is straight and practice your short irons and wedge shots.

This is the best driver i have ever used by far. Right away i had improvements on my drives. I have added 10 to 15 yards on my drive and the ball stays center. I have an automatic draw and the ball just flies off the tee. Buy it and bomb away!

I've had the TaylorMade 580 and the Callaway FT-3 this is by the far the best driver I have hit. The only problem is one of our usual foursome wants to hit it all the time. I finally told him he had to get his own...The price is perfect in fact surprised it is as inexpensive as it is. [...]

You have to strike the ball square, just as any club and that's the beauty of it. If your drives are already consistant, if you want to increase every facet of your drives, this club will give you what you want - huge drives in the fairway with great feel. Before: 240-260 yards, now 260-280 with frequent 300 yard drives.

What a club!!!!!
My wife suggested (Sorry guys, I got the last one), that I upgrade my cheapo set so I would play more. I bought this driver based soley on the reviews that I read on websites. I routinely hit the ball 260-280 with this bad boy, usually down the middle of the fairway. Now if I could figure out the short game......

This is the best driver I have ever owned. It's lightweight, has a slightly longer shaft length then your standard driver, and if you get one right, you can hit it a mile. Large head design helps with mishits as well, but don't be fooled, you have to be able to hit the ball. Highly recommended.

This Club is Phenomenal. I originally had the Taylormade R5. I could put everything I had into my swing and not reach 270yds. I decided to go and demo other clubs such as nike, titlist, calloway, R7 and Cobra F Speed LD Driver. I was set to decide between cobra and titlist when I was given the demo by a few friends. Str8 oiff the back I hit it over the fence at sungnam golf course (Korea). This club is amazing. I've only been playing for about a year but suggest to everyone to go and try this club out if you're in the market for a new driver.

I just started golfing ...
By Rob K from Pittsburgh on 6/27/2007

I just started golfing about a year ago and I had a cheap 460cc driver and was hitting it about 260-280 average keeping in mind I am a big guy in my early 20s. I decided to recently purchase the burner and no lie my club speed is 115 MPH and when I do not hook it the ball goes 300 yards just about every time and my longest drive so far was 344 yards. I absolutely love this club and can not imagine using that old driver again. I am so impressed by how well my ball striking has improved and my overall game being able to hit drive wedge to most greens. My score has improved at least 5 strokes per round due soley to the driver

By Bob K from Dayton, OH on 6/11/2007

Just got this club. Hard to say how much further I hit this over my old driver because I never could hit the old one. I took some lessons this year and got a new driver. My good hits go just over 250 yds and my miss hits still go about 200 yds. I'm glad I bought it. Worth every penny.

By Eric D from Charlotte, NC on 6/3/2007

Incredible club. I went from a 250 - 260 average on my drives to 275 - 300 in the first round of golf. I never dreamed of hitting the ball that far off the tee. It really is effortless to hit it a ton because the club is so light weight. The even better part about this club is it goes straight down the middle unless you really miss hit it. Otherwise it's staying in the short dry stuff. It's almost a deal where you have to see it to believe it. TaylorMade has done it again in a big way.

Without a doubt, the best driver I have ever bought. This stick is HOT! I took it out of the plastic and went right to the first tee and crushed it. Forgiveness is not the right word to describe the results of this driver. I have never had the chance to reach psr 5s in two, but yesterday I had an iron into all of them. A must buy.

By David S from Grand Prairie, Tx on 4/23/2007

This is hands down the best driver I have ever had the fortune of swinging. I have about a 100mph swing. With the other drivers I was consistantly 100-105 swing speed with a 250-275 distance. With the Burner I was 110-115 swing speed and 280-300+ distance. I have 5 rounds with this driver and I am flying the ball straight down the middle 300+ in the air. Not much roll, but who cares when you are hitting driver, 7 iron to par 5s!!! Highly recommended!!!! You will have fun with this driver! Drive the green and impress your friends! I shot my first round under par with the help of this driver!!!!
